Aleph-X stability - Click HERE for Original Thread
stefan
Hi all,
let's start another Aleph-X thread!

I try to simulate some Aleph-X schematic.
When I remove capacitors 10pF for feedback I had resonance around 70kHz.
After that I added 120 ohm resistors (R46 and R47) in input transistors sources and after that simulation shows absolutely flat characteristics until 40-50 kHz without feedback capacitors!
Do you think it's good way to increase stability and performance?

I think you'll find that there are some limits to simulation,
particularly in regard to power Mosfet models, and so in
the end you are best off building the circuit before you
get too committed.

Stefan,

10pF is getting into the realm of parasitic capacitance which won't necessarily be part of your simulation unless you make good estimates and add it into the schematic.

As noted, model accuracy is always in question but simulations can quickly show you circuit sensitivity to component variations so you know what to start tweaking when you build it.
