Do you mean the GTO1202D? (dual 2 ohm VCs)

The GTO series is very good, especially given the price. You can either use it in a sealed or ported enclosure, and it's fairly efficient at 91dB @ 1 watt.

I was actually considering the GTO1002D for my own system before finally deciding on a Treo Engineering TSX10.22 instead.

I guess it depends on your goals with the system...

1) Do you want more output, or more detail?

2) What kind of vehicle is it going in? (sedan, hatchback, convertable, station wagon, truck, van, SUV)

3) What kind of music do you listen to mostly?

4) How much power are you planning on running to it?

5) Are you just running one sub or two or more?

My brother has one,on a 1cu ft sealed enclosure. It works well enough. If you can get it at a good price, its worth it.

seen them implicated in some big budget professional installs. i remember a video of someone trying to blow up a low end jbl in a ported enclosure by sticking a ton of power on it below tuning. it took a 400wrms amp that was WAY into clipping for a loonngg time, then they decidd that it needed an 800wrms amp ran into clipping to kill it, and even then it took a while. and jbl also make pro audio stuff, so id bet its pretty tough and pretty loud.
