Tripath RB-TK2350-2 reference board with hole mounted components? Somebody?

I would be interesting that somebody could design a board for the Tripath RB-TK2350-2 reference board with hole mounted components. We would then make a group buy with this design.

The existing boards are surface mount components.

2 x 300W at 4 Ohm is quite powerfull and I think it sould be quite cheap too.

Pierre,

Why? Why use hole mounted components when SMD is clearly superior? Only so DIY-ers have an easier job of building one? The main chipsets for that particular amplifier are only available as SMD so I don't really see what the gain is? The few external components? I'm sure you'll manage to tack on a few SMD resistors and capacitors, with the aid of a loop and a pair of tweazers if needed.

You are quite right Sander. The chipset is the most difficult part to install.
So now, is there somebody interested to have/or design a surface mount reference board?
Or to make a group buy with the one shown at Tripath?
SSassen
Pierre,

Those are sold as a kit already by Jan at http://www.41hz.com, check out his website, these kits are identical to the reference design.
