lets say i find a nice speaker box ... like a center channel or a sub
box but the drivers iether dont work... or are not known to work ...would i be stupid to buy it ... if very cheap.. and then find some decent diy speakers and replace the factory ones ? i know id be limited by the box design when chooseing a new driver .....i would only wanna do this cuz im in a appartment .. and really dont wanna build a box not that i cant ..... its just i dont have the tools or space for doing that kinda thing anymore ..... |

| It all depends on how well the box is made and what application you use it for. You stated that it was cheap, if you have built boxes before, you know what to look for. It is up to you!! |

| If it's a sealed box (as opposed to a BR) and you go for similarly spec'd drivers, you shouldn't have too many difficulties. It's not an ideal scenario & you'd be better served designing the box from scratch; but needs must! I'm assuming you'll be replacing all the drivers & xover... |
