I have 6 1/2" speakers, driven off radio, I need help with how to
block bass 80-100 hz. (which ever would be better)
Stocker
it depends. probably a big capacitor.

about what size would work?

A 250uF bipolar in series should roll off the bass at 80Hz, if your driver is 8 ohms. (Use 500uF if it's a 4 ohm speaker)...

Be sure to connect it the right way!!!

coz,

I'm sure bigwill has got it right but just to confirm, you are wishing to block everything from 100Hz on down or do you just want to attenuate the 80 to 100 hz region?

If it's everything on down then a simple cap will give you 6dB per octave. If you wish 12dB then you will have to add a coil as well.

If you wish to attenuate only a certain area you will need a notch filter.

And as bigwill says, make sure you connect a bi-polar the right way, that is, with the prinitng upwards :D
