new recievers ok iv got a older 6 year old sony str de475 witch has worked great till now the sub output is very very week it barly moves. the sub is a klipsch ksw-10 for some reason now it only works when it wants to ... i think this was a sony $199.99
special iv been looking on ebay for some time now .. and i find alot of older receivers like mine but a little higherend denon HK and such but i dont like that fact that 90% of the time it says SOLD AS IS now that just means they tested it and it only half works but they dont wanna admit it ... now are there any newer * recievers that i can look for that are worth repairing if anything happens ? im not sure if my sony is worth repairing or not but i dought it and most of the recievers iv been looking at have gone for 100-250 now i have seen alot of vintage STEREO recievers that everyone seems to love and say they are powerfull and fully worth repairing but i dont see to many 5.1 or higher that are worth repairing unless there $1000 or above new and thats way out of my price range ...

whats yer thoughts on this ?

Hard to tell in the 5.1 range but you might want to look for Onkyo.
Older series weren't that bad.
