Im building my first sub.. whoohoo
I have an older Shiva MkIII Stats can be found here:

I'd like my sub to be 142.5 Liters, with a 4in flared port 12 inches long.
Id like the sub to be downward fireing, and have the port mounted on the bottom also.
I have a PE 250W plate amp, that i would like to include mounted to the box.
Im somewhat lost on how to build the box, size wise, and bracing really confuses me..
I was hopeing someone could help me out. |

First, your port center tube is 12 inches long, but with the flares it will be 18 inches long.
Adire Audio got plans to build that box. You can follow the plans. It's quite a big box, 22.5 inchex x 22.5 inches x 26 inches.
If you don't have the plans, I can send them to you.
To include the plate amp, you need to modify the plan a bit, you cut a hole in one of the sides, between two braces, to include the plate amplifier there. |
