Standalone Speaker measuring gadget - Click HERE for Original Thread

Hello all,

For quiet sometime i have been thinking of making a device which will measure the T/S parameter of a speaker on the go. I mean this device should be capable of measuring the specs of a speaker by just connecting it. It should be an independent device (has to be a microcontroller inside). Any ideas/ suggestion/available circuits may be of great help. This type of device would be of great use to diy enthuiast in india where finding a driver with proper specs is almost impossible.

Thanks,
Venki.:D

Venki,

Look at this:
Dayton Audio Woofer Tester

With a small and inexpensive laptop computer, you've got "on the go" T/S measurements using the USB connection. This should be an easier and cheaper solution than trying to build a processor and a display into a new design. And the laptop would have many other uses.
