Hi to all !

I would like to know, if regulated power supply is suitable for Aleph 3 ?

Here is "my" design, please let me know if it's correct ?

best regards,
Leon

I don't see how it could hurt. If there's any question,
just load it with 100,000 uF or so.

Why to build regulated PS ?

1.) I simply don't have enough capacitors for A3. I have only four 24.000uF/30V and I thing this is not enough for stereo A3. Original shematic have 8x22.000uF for stereo version.

2.) I also have 750VA toroid transformer with 2x24VAC on sec. This transformer is suitable for A5, but not for A3. If I use regulated PS, I can simply use it for A3.

On the other hand, the original Aleph's doesn't have regulated PS, why?

best regards,
Leon

Most power amps do not have regulated power supplies.:tons::wrench::scratch2::$::no:

I know this :)

Using regulated PS in class AB or B amplifier isn't good idea, but in class A amplifier this is possible and good. But probably in Aleph series this is not necessary. I'll simply buy some more capacitors and make unregulated PS.

best regards,
Leon
