HI,
THIS WAS THE THREAD I STARTED BOUT A PROB IN my amp.it has pcb as well as scheme(worked good but burned out a month back taking my Rs5000 pioneer woofer along with it).

your choice, use it(maybe i was at fault in using the amp properly).
gmphadte
The PCB -It will not be readily available.
U will have to make one for urself.
If u can laser print on a glossy photo paper then read here.
http://www.fullnet.com/u/tomg/gooteepc.htm

Other method is the good old one.
Draw the artwork using enamel paint on the copper and itch using ferric chloride. In this case go for 3886 as it's easy.

Want pcb layout, there will be hundreds in DIYAUDiO. I have one single sided design here.

Make urself one of this or make more and we will buy if it's good.

Hi all,
I also need couple of pcb.
kuldeepsingh
visit http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/show...&threadid=99176

I have made a couple of LM4780 and LM3886 PCBs by normal laser toner transfer method (at home) and i offer them for sale in india.
http://www.geocities.com/cool_mechi/lm4780.htm
and
http://www.geocities.com/cool_mechi/lm3886.htm

I will charge 350 Rs per LM4780 PCb and 250 Rs per LM3886 PCB.
Since PCB are home made, it will be in very native form (i.e only PCB with copper tracks, no component layout, numbering etc).

Interested persons may contact me.
fibbrilator
I am also willing to fabricate and sell LM3886 PCB in small numbers. The PCB will be glass epoxy type, Home made using toner transfer method .I have constructed a couple of amps using this design and it sounds exceptionally clean, no hum etc.:cloud9:.The design is 100% star ground based. PCB size is roughly 85mm x 60mm .Shall Take a few photos and post when i get time. I will be charging 350 per PCB. If interested contact me at i_am_007@rediffmail.com

COOL...may be you should post some pictures of your pcb here.

Thanks

Can you give some information about where do I get it for Rs.40.

Sometime back Suraj from OM electronics told me that they are making it, is the one you are referring to.
fibbrilator
Oh Man,

It would have saved me lot of pain and many many hours if knew it was available at 40 Rs earlier. Is it still available?

Thanks,
Gitesh
vikas456
Yes, its OM electronics, SP Road Bangalore, Guy at the counter told me that he was suppose to get consignment by first week of May,... but I am worried about the quality of the product and hence thought of buying PCB from one of you.
yusuf
oh okay, actually for reason unknown it is kept on getting delayed. I spoke to him 2 months back and when I checked last week, it was not ready.

If someone in Bangalore interested, we can get it done new compact design and fabrication. Its not very expensive. I am planning to do it but somehow time has been a factor.

I last week made subwoofer using chipamp and I am so encouraged with results that I plan to built few more amps.

Thought i shall post some details of PCB fabricators in Bangalore.

1) Prototech: 7 days delivery , 3 PCB min Accepts gerbers via mail. Phone no:08023570296

2) P.C process: 10 days delivery ,Accepts gerbers via mail. Phone no:08028362596

Both the above companies are trust worthy, have done many PCB's with them. Call them and ask them to mail you the standard pricing.

Hope this info will be useful.
Thanks.

How much does the LM4780 and LM3886 cost in Mumbai or Bangalore or Chennai ?
yusuf
I have one LM4780 in spare, most likely not going use it in near future. If you are in Bangalore, just pick it up.

Cheers!

yusuf
Don't worry about the cost - I am just giving it away FREE to fellow DIYers, whoever can pick it up first.

Btw, it's not a board but just a single LM4780 IC. I will PM you with my contact details.

Cheers!

Finally here is my completed amp photos :D

Sneak peek inside :

Inside the amp. Looks bit messy but thats how star wiring looks like. Note the 2.5mm cross section wiring and the capacitor bank.
I was pretty happy with the results. no hum/hiss/ clicks . Only pure amplification. I did not put any pre amp stage/ tone controls as I only wanted it to do only amplification.

Aluminum extrusions from President Systems ?

HI

Is there any source of LM3886 chip in india , preferably in Delhi
I have made a PCB but not getting the chip.

regards
ashok
Mumbai should have everything. You might need to serach. One of the earlier posts on another thread had some shop names.
Try searching for it.
I'm surprised that Delhi has no suppliers. Searching could be quite daunting with millions of tiny shops. I always get lost . On later trips I used to step into every shop one after another and mark them off on a list by shop number to make sure I do not step into the same shop again.
No point asking the shop keeper. I've never got any suggestions from any one of them. The standard reply was " we don't have ". Do you know who has it ? --"sorry don't know" ( then I get an indifferent look that says "now get lost we are busy " ).

Any Mumbai members with current info ?
Cheers.
ashok
I got a quote for about 200 bucks each for the LM3886 . But it's been about 5 weeks and I haven't seen a single piece yet ! Maybe the guy has got it mixed up with the LM4780 which I also asked for. I'll have to check it out. Has anyone actually bought one from their local ( Mumbai or Bangalore ) market ?

If we do have a real supplier he will show interest in larger quantities. Say a 100 minimum .
I'd suggest that we search for a reliable supplier who can get the part and then organise a group buy with a total minimum of 100 pieces . It will be much cheaper than getting it from abroad.
JPS
Hi Ashok

You have said it all. That is the reason I wanted exact shop number so that I can just go and buy the Chip. Can't move around
shop to shop.

regards
ashok
I forgot to add that the actual standard answer started with " How many pieces " , no matter what I wanted and even if they never sold that part .
If it was for a couple of pieces etc. , the answer was ' Sorry don't have'.
If it was a hundred or more then they would start calling other shops on the phone and give a much higher qote if they found a stockist ! Needless to say , we would be never be able to find out who had it !

I've bought single-unit quantities of the LM3886 from Chetan Electronics on S.P. Road in Bangalore for Rs.200/-. This was the isolated plastic tab version, not the metal tab version. The price may vary depending on availability.

YMMV, but the ST TDA7294 at Rs.85/- is a better deal for a gainclone. I've also got a PCB for the TDA7294 that is similar to the reference design in the ST datasheet. I'm planning a modified Class-G version, but it's very early in the design stage.
