| OK you experts, can I substitue the 2.2uF 1200VDC Mundorf SS cap with either (2) 4.7uf 630VDC in series or will it hurt to drop down to 2.2uF 1000VDC. I just can bring myself to spend $43 a pop for the Mundorfs. |

One 4u7/630V will be just fine.
(I'm not an expert.)

| Do you not need two 4u7 in series since the circuit calls for 2.2  |

It's only a coupling capacitor, so 4.7uF will be better than 2.2uF, giving better low frequency performance (although it's probably too low to make any difference). |

You only need 2.2uF 250V for this coupling circuit. 400V is more than sufficient.
I would get the Mundorf Silver in Oil cap for this which will give your detailed sound.

| Mundorf Supreme Silver oil, are the ones at $43 a pop, and the regular supremes are 1/2 that. $85 for two caps, I would rather go with the regular supremes at 1/2 that. |
