Multiroom amplifier system - Click HERE for Original Thread

Hello!
I have almost ready audiosystem in my house. All cables and speakers are installed.
Only multiroom amplifier is missing.
So I need 4-channel amp with volumecontrol and mute/standby in each channel separately.
Every zone have own pair of speakers and a place for "keypad".
Every keypad need controls for volume up/down and mute or stby amp, one keypad added master on/off control for all 4 amps.

I think system like this:
- from H/K AVR430 multiroom outputs goes to mono sum (sounds better in large rooms when all speakers driven mono)
- after mono sum signal have to divide 4
- each signal goes thru "DS1669 Digital Pot IC" (http://www.aaroncake.net/circuits/volume.htm)
- signals to monoamps
- using amps with mute/standby option
- amp capable for 4ohm and about 15w (speakers 8ohm driven parallel)
- one transformer use all 4 amps, so I get all "off" with remote masterswitch

You have any ideas or comments?

Thanks,
KnoB

Hello KnoB

Have a look at the TDA7386 (4-ch power amp IC). Ideal for BGM or Multi-Zoning.
