I just picked up an amp with a sick transformer. I found that the
thermal cutoff hidden under some of the core windings had opened. I can`t read a part #. What would be the most likely
temp rating used in a generic power supply transformer rated
at 70v ct 150va. And lastly I sure would like to buy one without
making a minimum order from Digikey so if some one would just sell me one.....
thanks,

| You can find those at radio shack. |

Radio Shack has thermal fuses? That would be VERY surprising.
Jameco also sells them, and MCM, and others.
Don't worry so much about the value. The difference in protection between 90- 100- 110 degrees is not spacious. |

Yes it does. I was surprised too when I needed one and RS had it. Probably not the cheapest, but it's local and probably cheaper than paying shipping.

| Wow, I am shocked. I even checked a local store and the system says they have it in stock. Amazing. |
