Hi,
after doing some search I have found that Ferroxcube has (in their catalogue, part no. P26/16-3C81-A315) pot cores with shielding, tag plates, springs and everything.... with shielding. I have contacted few distributors in Europe- none of them has replied probably because I wanted to buy in small quantities. I badly need those cores from that manufacturer or someone else but I need them and they have to be shielded, AL=315-400(nH), u=100, coil former with one section....
Everything that I have found does not have shielding (container) and Ferroxcube and their dealers are not very helpful (unfortunatelly) when You have to buy those cores on small quantities.....
Only the dealer from Ferroxcube from Germany was helpful and offered to supply me with samples.... that is not what I need .... I need those cores to buy somewhere on a regular base in small quantities....
If someone can help me I would jump around like a mad dog out of happiness :D ........:cannotbe:

Pot cores such as the Ferroxcube P series that you are interested
in are inherently self-shielding. The metal "housing" is a means
to hold them together and mount them to a PCB. It is not
a shield. In fact it has virtually zero effect on the performance
of the inductor which wouldn't be the fact if the pot core
weren't self-shielding.
One very important thing is to be sure the two halves are
tightly clamped together, which is what the various spring-
loaded hardware pieces are for.
Unfortunately I have no recommendations for sources of
supply in small quantities. The only suggestion I can make
is to look for a number of the little "cottage industry" businesses
that sell to DIY ham radio types. I know that at least in
the US several of them sell cores. |

thnx - i have found some with no container but only with some mechanism to hold them together .... if You say that container will not help them to be better shielded than i have easier job to find something...... thnx

i have also found a distributor for ferroxcube that is willing to sell 4 or 8 set of cores (elna magnetics)...... well the price is :hot: but i will get what i need afterall. also the price will drop if i buy more sets....
