Alpine 3544 transistor question - Click HERE for Original Thread

Hi @ all

I got an old Alpine 3544 amplifier that has a broken small signal transistor. The transistor is not elec. damaged, the owner dropped the amp and the speaker terminals pushed away a 1000µF cap and this small transistor where 2 legs are now missing.

Could this be an UN6211 ?

the transistor is mounted near the PWM-controller and it looks like that this thing is acting with the RMT-Signal.

would say your right.
if its from around the output area, cant you check with the other channel ?

Hi

hmm, this thing is mounted near the TL494 , so it´s not used in the music section. As far as I can follow those thin curcuit lines this thing is connected to the RMT-terminal via resistors and diodes.

I assume I wil have to contact Alpine to find out. I mean I don´t need a complete service manual, just need to know what kind of part that is.

Does anyone have experience with Alpine-support?

Thx

Steph

dont see why you'd need the service manual etc.
would just replace it.
does indeed sound like it's the remote sense transistor, so if you cant get the same one, should be able to use a whole swag of common parts.

real quick google search turned up this
http://www.digchip.com/datasheets/p.../353/UN6211.php

so looks like its readilly available from all over the place, and also easily replaced with something else.
