Ok, What kind of tape is normally used to wind around a toroid and where does one get it. I thoughbt it was kapton tape but the roll of Kapton tape I have is seeming very different from what I unwound from this toroid which I am re-winding the secondaries of..... Any info on it would be appreciated.

They use regular Mylar tape...There are companies that slitt the big mylar rolls into ribbon strips .
