HI DIY people.
I'm now looking for a new cart formy sme 3009 t.arm.Anyone to give
me suggestions the chice is between a Grado prestige gold, goldring
g 1042 , denon dl160, anyone who tested at least a couple of those .
Besides i'd like to know if the SME t.arm has fluid damper(refillable)
or just mechanical....

The series II has no fluid damper. All the cartridges you mention will be a good mechanical match for a series II improved, fixed. Unfortunately i only have experience with the 1042 in this arm and it indeed sounds very good. The vinyl asylum is a good place to search for arm/cart compatibility. |
