DC filament supply LC or CL - Click HERE for Original Thread
TBM
Hi there!

I have a 300B SET currently running 5VDC LC filament supply driving my 104dB/W horns. No problem with hum.

I am thinking about trying out 5VDC CL filament supply.

Let us say that you have the same mVAC ripple RMS on both schemes (LC or CL):
Do you have any comments on what sonic differences to expect?

Audiophile regards,

Preferred is Lc due to the first inductor does not have a high to average current peak when charging the first capacitor 120 times a second. Better is a LCL per posts I read.
