| It's a pretty standard-quality diode rated at 1000V/2.5A. There are about a million replacements. |

Have you checked RS and Farnell, they both carry Vishay products.

The general instrument data book lists GP15B as:
glass passivated junction plastic rectifier..
100 volts, 1.5 amperes.
