Hi,
Has anyone tried an LM3886 gainclone with a regulated supply. How different is it sonically.

I tried one with Pedja's discrete regulated PSU and it is a big improvement.
I have also tried the CarlosFM snubberized regulated (LM338) PSU with an LM3875 and that is also a big improvement on the standard 1000uF/rail PSU.
I also tried SMPS which is (unexpectedly) very good too. I have to do more listening to say which is the best! ;) |
