Very nice:)
Did you change from rca to xlr to your new cable? Where did you get 3 wires in you cable, I thought there are only 2 in rca cable?
fcel
JasonL .... when can we expect to see pictures of your completed amp and pre-amp? And of course how it sound?
Jean
Man those boards look so good! Do you think the heatsinsk will be enough ?
PedroPO
Hi jason

Do you think those heatsinks will do on aleph 5?

i'm going to use 11kg of heatsink /ch.

am I overreacting or what?
Peter Daniel
Jason's Aaleph will run very hot. I used similar sinks on my 5s and they are not enough.
PedroPO
look @ this pic of my sinks.

they will have 200mm total length
PedroPO
if it runs too hot i can still use the inner holes on the sinks and put water in it :D

what u think?
Peter Daniel
What's the height?
PedroPO
200mm
Peter Daniel
Assuming it's a stereo amp they are OK, maybe even too much, but 2 on ea. side would be not enough. If run too cool you can always increase the bias.;)

PedroPO, which software do you use to make these fine construction drawings? Adobe Illustrator?
PedroPO
nah!

amateurs use that.

the pro's (and the least modest) use Autocad.

that's the only way to draw exactly what you want.
in autocad if you want 0.000000001 mm you can get it.

Of course it is a little difficult to learn but it pays back.
