Turntable bearing - Click HERE for Original Thread

Well, I searched for "turntable bearing" on the net and came up with this (attached).
Do you think it can accomodate a 12"er?

Sorry - couldn't resist it :devilr:

Hi,
My decrepit Thorens TD150 could do with a new bearing.
A few thou (mils) vertical float at platter edge.

I don't think this one's gonna work for you, my friend.:whazzat:

Actually, I take it back. I was thinking where on earth would you locate the listenning seat with this on your platter. Now that I think of it - I have a very innovative approach for a DIY table - the platter is totally still (just think of it - no motor or bearing vibration whatsoever!!), while the listener sitting on this component rotates around it with precise speed.

Then again, maybe this requires some more thinking...

Cheers and good night
