i'm so glad i found this place! :) another cool online community for diy'ers! based on the browsing i've done, there's much to learn here! i hope i can also share my ideas  soon enough.

i'm a multi-discipline artist from the Greater Toronto Area in Ontario, Canada--one of the major hotbeds of creativity in our country.

it's been said that when you're ready for something it will appear. it's also been said that necessity is the mother of invention; out of necessity i have sought to build my own personal recording studio for personal projects. it began with learning about my computer, then upgrading, and now i want better sound; so i began searching online and found several places like this one. i think diy'ing definitely fits in with my way of doing things.

peace,

If there is a Mecca for audio, in the way Boston and LA once were, Toronto would be it.

Glad you found the site. It's a load of fun.

But it can become addicting!

Feel free to express your ideas- even if they are of the "someone should do this" type. People will be happy to comment on them , and almost always in a very nice way.

We have a musical instrument section which might be of interest.

I'm glad you said one of the hotbeds. Over here on the other side of the mountains, we have similar thoughts.

I think you'll enjoy the people here. Very informative and helpful. Welcome to another Canadian.
