DH-500 heat sink assembly - Click HERE for Original Thread

Here is a Hafler DH-500 heat sink assembly plus a free fan. You can see that the assembly has gaps in each 1/2 of the sink but this should not markedly effect its cooling ability. Just fill the gaps with some aluminum.

The fan is a Whisper Fan from 20 years ago. It has the motor in the hub so is not a strong starter. The impeller had an accident so is now glued onto the hub. However it should work for a long time, depending on the TLC applied. It only weighs a few ounces so won't increase shipping very much.

$25 for the sink assembly plus USPS parcel post for 6 pounds will get it from my house to yours. You can calculate postage from my ZIP 61111 to yours by going here:

Pay Pal is preferred.

Here is another picture of the heat sink assembly showing how this whisper fan is attached. The fixing holes on the sink for a fan have 4 1/8" centers.

The missing center fin in each 1/2 of the assembly will reduce cooling a tad. How much, I don't know. Probably not much and a piece of aluminum sheet could be instered into the air stream to help bring cooling back up to stock level.
