Trying to fine tune my MK MLTL Fostex 206, I now using Madisound Sledgehammer 3.0mH inductor, would the perfect lay type or Goertz type be an improvement? Using a Multicap 4.0uf film and aluminum cap, any suggestions? Tried a 3.0 Hovland and Auricap. A 4.5 ohm parallel resistor seems to give me the best balance. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I'm using FE 204 which is the older brother of FE 206, and is quite similar in parameters.
I got best results with 10ohm resistor, 4mH coil and 2uF cap.

I got best results with 10ohm resistor, 1mH coil and 2,42uF cap
in parallel.

The cabinet plans can be found at Martin King's MLTL website. I am surprised at the difference in filter network components being used by the readers. I started with the recommended filter by M.King and modified it slightly. Are you guys using the same cabinet parameters?
