So I have been reading these forums for the past couple of weeks trying to gather as much information as I can. I have decided that I want to build a projector based on this LCD . I have visited diyprojectorcompany and looked at their plans. I have also tried to read as much as I could of ace's thread, but going through about 100 pages is very time consuming. I understand it that he is going to be selling some plans soon? If so, I would be very interested in purchasing them.
One thing I do not understand is the optics part. There are so many different lenses, and I'm not too sure what I am looking for.
I'm sure I'll have many other questions coming up.

OK, just found a page in diyprojectorcompany about optics. I understand it better now.
After reading some threads, it seems as though this lense is the best for the money? What fresnel should I use?
I will probably use the 250w metal halide kit from diypjc.
As far as UV and IR filtering, what is the best way to do that? Do I even need it? |
