I just purchased a used NEC DP-1200SH CRT projector for $150.00CDN while i'm waiting very impatiently for my 15" lcd to show up here.

Thought i'd share some pics with you guys.

It took me 6 hours of tweaking to get these images:cool:

FEEDBACK IS WELCOME!

nobody has any feedback at all??

Nice find for $150, although it only does 540p which isn't bad just not great. Saw you were looking for help over on the AVS forum. Here's a link to the manual if you don't have one. http://www.crtcinema.com/manuals.html By the way didn't you just sell everything cause you were broke?

Donīt break this baby now. You bougt another 15" lcd too ?

Clinton, he have had two jobs to get extra money.
corryn00
Not broke anymore. A friend of mine just bought a carpet cleaning van and has made me half partner in his company.

Half partner = Half money:D

Yes I bought a 15" Daewoo off of ebay for $30. The guy says

"screen still shows a picture but is very dark, has dead backlight i believe"

Just have to find a 12V 3amp power supply when it gets here.

So far I find the crt projector to have much better contrast then the lcd one as well as i can watch it during the day.

Great deal - hows the tube condition?
Run it off your PC in 1080i (1920x1080)

CRT RULES:D
corryn00
The tubes only have about 300 hours on them so they are very much new and bright:cool:

I'm gonna try it with Counter Strike tonight. Just have to turn the HUD off on the game to prevent screen burn.

Overall i like this projector better then a lcd other then the weight of it  150lbs

From those pics, the contrast and colors actually look quite terrible, im sure the pics dont do justice what so ever...

Glad to have someone on the CRT side:D
corryn00
the blue gun is still up a little too high but i'll adjust it when i put the projector in its final spot downstairs in the soon to be "home theater room".

You are definately right though my camera S U C K S !

It is completely automatic, cannot change anything on it except for flash on or off :(

Time for a new camera

this projector has a contrast ratio of 12,000:1

Me likes it for sure!

You are going to build a LCD projector ?
corryn00
not sure, after seeing a crt projector in action i might just fix the 15" lcd monitor and sell it on ebay or to someone on here.

For sale on ebay ALREADY:eek:
corryn00
lol :D

Just seeing if it brings in any bids or not.

Unless someone uses buy it now it's staying here the reserve is only $0.20 less then the buy it now.

I am definately not shipping it!
