I have ordered the 2 of brians' lm4870 dual mono kit. I intend to built 4 channel from these.
I have 2 of these transformer which I took from a defunct kenwood km x1. It has six secondaries lead out, 2 black, 2 orange, 2 blue. orange to black is +/- 45V AC, blue to blue is 24v AC. blue to black is zero.
I read from the LM spec's that maximum voltage is 84.
I am not sure whether I can built the power supply using these trannys. Will using the +/- 45V be too excessive? HOw do I find out how much current the tranny carries or the VA ratingS?
