VGA to TV - Click HERE for Original Thread

I posted this question elsewere but I think it will get more attention here. So here goes.

I have a VGA to RGB cable.
Is it safe to connect my computer VGA output directly to my tv RGB input?
Is there a specific resolution or refresh rate that is necessary?

I dont want to damage my video card or tv.
Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

60hz for NTSC. Resolution depends on what kind of TV you have, is it HD, widescreen, standard, etc? Standard 4:3 NTSC TV is 640x480.

Some TVs can be damaged by too high of a refresh rate, some have protection, I believe.
