HI,

I would like to bridge the Tda 1562 for more power, Any body can help me on this!!

Thanks

Hi arasuk!

I was taking a look to the tda1562 datasheet from Philips and I found what do you wanna do is not available for this amplifier since this is a BTL (bridge tied load) Amp has been bridged inside to deliver 70 Watts over 4 Ohms whit 14.4 Volts.

So yo can't doit and don't try it because by connecting the bridge at the output you will be making a short circuit.

Please see the page 3 of the datasheet to understand what I try to say.

Datasheet location: http://www.datasheetarchive.com/dat...f/92/92064.html

If you wanna more power, think in another amplifier IC.

Hi MAGNETRON,

Thanks for the reply, Hmmmmmmm!!! so this is a BTL Amp!! well Any other chip ,
I have a 12 volts battery in my car not 14.4???

well any smps based amp?????

Thanks for the reply again magnetron.,

Hi arasuk!

I mind this Ic delivers 70 Watts with a 14.4 V power supply but I said this refered only to the manufacturer datasheet who ensures the max ratings but it support from 8 to 18V.

I recommend you to think about "home audio" IC's , you will need higher voltage as power supply so built a DC/DC converter too.

I tried National semiconductors Ic and works excellent. Watch www.national.com to get more information.

Now I'm building a power amp with the LM4766T IC and you can bridged using a +-30V of supply voltage to obtain a max power of 160 Watts (RMS).

Remember when your car battery is being in charge the voltage rise up to 13.8V depending of the load (light, stereo, etc).

Good luck.
