Power distribution among speakers? - Click HERE for Original Thread
Tucson Bill
Here's the deal......I've got two 6.5" DynaVox woofers, each with a power handling rating of 140W RMS / 200W Peak.

I'm going to mount them in a sealed boxex, seperate chambers, and wire them in parallel to give the amp a 4 ohm impedance to look at. For this discussion, let's assume that the boxes are of the proper volume for these speakers.

The amp is rated at 300W RMS in bridged mode into 4 ohms.
<Profile California AP600>

Assuming that the amp's output might touch the 300W mark once in a great while, what are the chances of the speakers surviving?

Or: how is the power distributed among the two speakers in this configuration?

Thanks,
Bill

the speakers will share the avalable power equaly provided they are the same impedance .
