Pre-stripped and ready to go 7" XGA Lilliput FOR SALE! - Click HERE for Original Thread
frozenbum87
Hey fellas, I've had my DIY projector up and running with this 7" Lilliput for a few weeks (less than 10 hours of actual runtime though) and its been awesome! The quality is incredible, even with a 10ft diag screen! However, I recently decided I wanted to go ahead and build a projector with a 15" LCD, so I must sell my Lilliput so that I may have adequate funding for this new project. I originally paid $250 for it, but I'm obviously not expecting, nor would charge my fellow diy members that much...let's say $200 shipped w/ insurance. Keep in mind, the hard part (and/or nerve-racking part) of stripping it is already done for you! :D

I also have 2 sets of fresnels cut to size for the 7 inch lilliput that I will throw in for free as well (since they will obviously serve me no use for a 15" LCD)! (one of the sets of fresnels is scratched up and shows up a little on the projected screen, and the other set has slightly jagged edges, but does not affect the final projection)

Really? I have NEVER seen an auction for a 7 inch Lilliput XGA end at less than $200USD (most are around $250USD), and then shipping was always absurd. Please show me a listing on ebay where you can get one less than $200USD (244CAD) shipped, I'm very interested.
corryn00
oh sorry i didn't see the "cdn" dollars thing. I thought you meant USD.

Hi Frozen,

I'm interested in your fresnel.
If it's 220mm then I'll get it.

Thanks.
corryn00
Well I did it in 3 hours flat!

Built a projector that is...hahaha

I used a Kodak 650H and mounted the 2.5" hip gear screen into it and....VOILA!

I now have a functioning LCD projector!

What a cool little thing:D

Just have to add a 1" laptop cooling fan above the lcd to keep it cool.

I am thinking about listing it on ebay but I figured I'd see if anyone here is interested first.

I'll post pics later tonight!

hey frozen thats the lilliput xga vga right. is it still for sale and stipped/fully functional?
monz
frozenbum87 ... i am planning on using a 7'' lcd as well for my first diy-pj. I was wondering if the contrast ratio, response time was an issue w/ your projector.

If all works out, I might grab everything off you. DOes the shipping include to canada ?? (plz say yes) ;)
frozenbum87
Sorry everyone, the Lilliput has been sold to nick[x1] which means the fresnels are gone too.

But monz...the contrast ratio and response time are very decent...not as good as some higher quality 15" LCD's (obviously), but I hardly noticed any blurring in fast scenes, nor any problems with contrast ratios, even with a dim light on in the room.
monz
ahh shoot -- a little too late.

But thanks for the positive tip about those beautiful lilliputs.

Totaly ****ed off with this user, he sent me the lcd, was damaged on delivery due to leaving cables connected and not enouth foam stuff and no fragile note on the outside.

Around 30 days after being posted and contact to get him to file a claim on the insurance I am still waiting on a responce from the delivery compnay or him.

Just thought I would let people know that this guy is useless when buying stuff from him
frozenbum87
I have already made the claim (8 days ago)...Nick needs to take the LCD to his post office to have them verify the damage. Once he has done this, I will gladly refund his money.
