For Sale: Hip Gear 2.5" lcd already stripped and wired. - Click HERE for Original Thread

I have a Brand New Hip Gear 2.5" LCD that I have already wired up with RCA plugs for video and audio as well as the power.

I was going to put it in my 46" sony rptv but decided to go with a 15" samsung monitor instead.

They retail for $50.00 CDN but I'll sell it for $40.00 plus shipping. I know it's not a huge drop in price but it is already stripped and ready to go. Right now it has the backlight still attached so you can remove it when you get it or you can keep it and just use it for a TV. I also have the original controller pieces and cables for the PS2 console.

If you are interested, shoot me an email at "corryn00@telusplanet.net"

What is the resolution on this lil lcd ? I have a 6" Sharp lcd that is 720 x 240 pixel, model no: LQ6RA02.
corryn00

Donīt cry, frying something is stuff that happens. Happens to me all the time. If the controller board is a separate pcb with a removable flat cable going to the lcd it can still be usable because the extra board is just a composite to rgb+csync converter. Can i see more pics of this tft ?

Hi TEKKO,

I tried to send you some pics but the email bounced.

I'll post the pics here for you.

The board that's fried is the one that has the backlight power supply on it.

Did you reverse polarity on the power supply and is there any visible damage on the board ? Maybe it was just the backlight that stopped working. You could reach me on msn messenger too, or on aim.
corryn00
hi, nothing was changed.

I had it working the night before but left it turned on all night with no signal. The backlight still works. The lcd shows a little bit of an image when it wants to:confused:

i have added you to my msn messenger. my user name is PHENOMENON

Talk to you later maybe,

That sounds more like a bad contact somewhere, maybe a solder joint have gotten loose. Where do you live ? I could take the lcd if you descide to declare it broken, if it shows image only when it wants to i think i might be able to fix it. Whats the model number on lcd ?
corryn00
I live in Canada. For $10 bucks + shipping you can have the lcd and it's boards along with the power supply.

I'm going to get a 15" samsung syncmaster 151v today and slap it on my OHP until i get a bulb, ballast and build a custom box.:D

Specs:
1024x768 resolution, 25 ms response time, 16.2 million colors, 350:1 contrast ratio and a DVI input for digital video...all for $120 bucks cdn:D

I figured it's time to step into the "real" projection world and get some serious resolution.....lol

Let me know if you want this 2.5", if no body wants it i'm just gonna chuck it in the trash.

Gordon
Tekko
No offense but why take money for it if you gonna toss it in the trash ? No need for the power supply if itīs a wallwart transformer, would save on shipping too. I have lots of 12v sources around here. You could send it just as a letter, would be no shipping at all.
corryn00
I am asking $10 because then it makes it worth while to go buy an envelope, pack it and then take it to the post office. :D

If you want it I can ship it, if you don't the trash can is beside me and takes no time or fuel to drive to..;)

Gordon
Tekko
Iīll let you know in a day or 2 if i want it, ok ?
corryn00
no problem
