No Not at all, ic sockets are designed for flat tinned pins on ic´s not round pins on back of cartridge, machined ic sockets even worse as they´re designed to fold the pin during insertion. Try a decent vinyl shop, they usually carry hardware accesories, or send me a mail, if You don´t need hundreds of them, and i´ll post You a few.

All my cartridges have a preference for the female gender, thank goodness. What's the point of inventing clumsy substitutes if you can get perfectly nice Cardas for peanuts?
davesaudio
Because sometimes the music won't wait

and the DB connectors are in the basement/shack waiting to be cannabalized

and the cardas has to be ordered from somewhere and mailed
and you need a credit card so must be of a certain age.....
YMMV
:D

Indeed, what else. Put a piece of heatshrink around them and they are perfect.

I think I should inform you that the guy who was asking has already ordered from partsconnexion. That was his info to me. And - they even ship cod.
Any further fighting seems to be rather pointless.

Oh, are we fighting?
I thought we were having an interesting discussion on
selecting materials to use in a particular application.
If my tone made it appear so then I must recant.
