Anyone had experience with this LCD ? Contrast rate 250:1 and seems to be an XGA as well. Any ideas?

a 15" XGA LCD monitor is priced at $200 - $300. That is without TV tuner integrated. Now, you have a small LCD with TV tuner and only cost $159. Don't you think it is too good to be true. the secreat is the "compressed resolution". its number could be as high as you want, as long as the monitor and take the signal. but the real resolution is only VGA or SVGA at the best.

also, what good is a XGA monitor without a VGA port? It only has RCA video in, I would guess the real resolution is lower than vga.

It is a lot smaller, though, and TV tuner cards aren't expensive items. Obviously if you pay bottom dollar you're not going to get top quality, but it looks good for $180.

a smaller LCD with the same resolution will cost more actually.

by the way, isn't it "HD ready" IF it has XGA? Most LCD TV's claim to be "HD ready" if it is XGA ( although we know XGA is not HD )

the easiest way is to email the seller and ask if it is "native" XGA. But even it is, you cannot use XGA resolution because it only has RCA inputs.
