Hello SmarmyDog

Unfortunatly there are two problems with those screens. #1 the screens may be cheap but the controllers that you would need to run them on a regular pc (or any other device) are going to cost ya plenty. #2 out of the ones that I recognized on that page at least 3 different types are NOT Active Matrix (which is almost a necessity if you want to build a good projector).

So to make a long story short. I personally would not use these in a projector. Get a (good) overhead panel instead as it will be cheaper and a lot better than most of those panels (not to mention a lot less work to get it up and running).

Hello Casey,

No Problem. I will give a few pieces of free advice (no refunds :>)

If it is a laptop screen (like those were) you pretty much do not have a chance at getting a controller to make them work with a computer for a cheap price. The exception is if you are going to use the laptop. I built a projector out of a old used 400Mhz laptop (I basically ripped the screen off and removed the polarizer and some circuit boards from the back of the screen).

Not all laptops are that easy to strip.

I am waiting for the day when I can get a quality (and cheap) lcd controller for a desktop computer. As of right now I dont believe it exists (cheapest I have found is $150++++++ and it only worked on one type of screen)
