I built a parallel bridged amp with 8 lm3886 I measured the voltage at the output Im getting 3volt dc and 32volt ac when the amp in wide open. Is the normal
wxn
No.
demogorgon
time to go over the amp with your multimeter and check every solder joint and wire in the amp.

do you have a dc servo in your amp considering you have so many chips?

I got you Marius:

Your sig relates to the winter season when most of you put on your skis and take off into the wilderness!
Of course there are no toilets, and you will find places where the snow has a golden color!!
Hence, the proverb says - directly translated: Cook never coffee on yellow snow!,
or better: Never make your coffee based on water from yellow snow! As a proverb, absolutely NOT dirty! The coffee on the other hand ......!

You must tell us a bit more. Post a schematic diagram. What do you mean with "the amp is wide open"? Have you measured with the input shorted? If not, do that first.

you spoiled the fun for me now!! I'l have to come up with something new now i guess.. but tell me.. who's your inside source?

ontopic: yes, post schematics. that always helps. :D

My boss, actually. Retired Norwegian Army general. He loved it!

Jan Didden
jaudio
what i mean by "wide open" is the volume control is turn completely to the right. I used the classic inverted design and there is no servo just trimmer at +input

Use an input buffer, after the pot.

Jan, you are smart. I didn't get that despite it's spelled out in clear for me.

"Koka aldrig kaffe på gul snö" in swedish. Sometimes you are slow....

Jan, what about my sig at the bottom?

Do you get offset if you have the input shorted? Have you built two amps and the results are the same?
jaudio
I added another 68,000uf cap to the power supply. dc offset is bewteen .6 and 125mv. I have not tested with input shorted. Yes, I have built a second amp it works, but I only tested it when its idle, the offset voltage is 0.000

Marius,

To make up for my hi-jack of your sig:

do while OT { temperatures in the world and in Norway:

but what, to paraphrase Michael Myers, do the "freekie-deekie" Dutch do in the cold, aside from console themselves with oude ginnever?

"...in the bleak midwinter, frosty wind made moan, earth was hard as iron, water like a stone...snow had fallen, snow on snow, snow on snow, in the bleak mid-winter, long, long ago..."

Jack,

I have no idea. I can only say we learned since then, and nowadays we stay indoors with the central heating, but of course still with the oude genever....
