My first attempt on a Class-D amp - Click HERE for Original Thread
nohup
Hi, i'm new to class-D amps AND to this forum :)

After reading some about it on this forum I tried to do build a simple amp using the tl494 (mostly used for switching psu's) and fet driver IR2110. I didn't know that Vss should be between -5 and +5v, so i'm going to order a new 2110.. and I wrote a whole new schamtic 'cause i didn't like using the 494 anyway :)

The schematic I wrote is at: http://www.plasser.nl/amp.jpg
(it was too big to attach)

I wondering if it would be worth building it... can anyone tell me if i should change anything?

Thanks in advange!

Tom You have gathered much Information from Crest LT schematic as well as from Sergio's Class-D Amplifier Prototype.

You can simpliFy it even further , You can use :
Single Supply operation,
H-bridge in BD mode.

Yeah, I did look at the Crest LT schematic, although I was already planning to use the LM119/219/319 and IR2110. I kinda stole the level shifter to bias the logic from the other stuff :)

Yes, I could make a H-bridge, but that would require 2 gate drivers, and after all it's just an experiment :)

Greetings, Tom
