Why not mod a PC case for amps? - Click HERE for Original Thread

Found this one which looks like a nice candidate for a Class D amp case. Rip out the PSU stuff and use the rest?

That would look gd if the price is rite

It would look beautiful indeed, but the price on those things tend to be more than their worth..

Probably costs a few hundred thats why :)

I've thought about that many times, computer cases are generally cheaper than DIY cases anyway, if you are buying the whole case. Of course its cheaper to make your own but I don't know if I could make one that looks good.

Here are some big cases that are for servers. Now, with custom PC cases you can get some pretty good looking stuff if you delve into that area.

Thanks.

I checked with my SilverStone supplier locally and he could not get it. Time to go to the States again...

I've collected 4-5 old computers
for use as power supply cases.
They have everything allready,
just a matter of putting it to use.
And a 5 year old computer is allmost free ;)

cheers

Øllet pleier ikke å komme så langt nei, så det er ikke noe problem.

as for this case, descop machines are good for usesd like this, thy just need a new front. no stress really.

think i'l go treasure hunting soon myself, the GC needs a chassi..

Look for used router/switch cases. Computer/office machine recyclers find some of them to be both smart and dumb...they'll work, but only for a while. Then they need a code.

I always build stuff in puter ps cases. I built a Flourescent lamp inverter in this case before once.
