this sentence is wrong:
"Die Platinen sind orginal Pass Platinen die er bis vor ca. 1 Jahr über seine DIY Hompage vertrieben hat."
~= "boards are original Pass boards which he distributed until about 1 year ago through his DIY homepage"
...it's too expensive anyway... |

Those toroids don't look like 1500VA at all, I just bought a 800VA at Reichelt and I think it's twice as big as one of his.
Regards,
Jarno. |

don't know. he says the heatsinks are 20x20cm so they look really big,
nearly 20cm diameter... |

I've seen the add too on Ebay.
Included in the package are a bunch of neatly cut alloy panels and a heap of heatsinks.
I am sure the owner must have paid a great deal more for all the parts, the asking price is not outrageous.
Whether someone is willing to pay that kind of money for "second hand stuff" and someone else's project i doubt.
A shame he is not able to complete the amps himself, it would hurt me if i'd be the one.
I admire people able to read real dimensions and ratings from a picture.
Maybe you can tell me the size of the transformer on the picture i added ?
Hint, it is a somewhat more than 1500 VA, secondaries have 1/8" diameter.
You could check out the homepage of TBS electronics in Frieslan. |

| I'd say it depends whether this is a small or a big BIC lighter... |

Well, when compared to the output boards Dale did, I figured the toroid was a bit small. But I agree with you that when compared to the aluminium panels and heatsink they could be the "right" size.
BTW, I never claimed I can read VA ratings from pictures, at first glance the transformer looked a bit small. I will check out TBS electronics, I guess shipping from Fryslan is cheaper than shipping from Germany. |

Somebody bought the lot, for €1100,-. Whew, that's a lot of money!
I think I'll send the buyer a message where to find more info on the boards and the amps (here). I sent the seller a message, in it I asked him to also mention the source of these boards as a couple of the guys here have put a lot of time in them and this is only fair. He reacted "agitated" so I am sure how "informative" he is towards the buyer. |

So I was probably right in my suspicion...
Good idea to mail the buyer |
