hi guys, think you might help me with this.....i have a sound set-up, its working fine but i hear ticking sounds from my speakers whenever i turn on my flasher or buzzing sound when i turn on my aircon.

| we can only guess if you don't tell us what equipment are you using. how many amps do you have? how many speakers? any signal processors? how is it wired? who did the install? |

sounds like a dodgy earth.
Check all your earths are good and onto bare metal. |

alpine amplifier (4 channels) 100watts rms (NEW)
12" targa sub in a sealed box, volume is 1.5 cu.m. ( can i add a port in this box???)
front speakers = 6.5" pioneer (2way)
rear speakers = 6.5" pioneer (2way)
wiring= channles 1 and 2 connected to the rear speakers, channel 3 & 4 to the subs (bridged)
i did the wiring since ive done it before and it did fine...old amp btw is a 2 channel hotshots (american acoustics) with 300 watts rms, MOSFET, 2 OHM stable |

| put a choke (a few hundred microhenries) on the power inputs to the Alpine amp/tuner and the sub-amp. You can make a suitable choke from one of the torroids in the input section of a junked AT power supply. |

| your interconnects might be damaged check them. I had the same experience before but when I swapped cables, the problem disappeared. |

| it may be a grounding issue. check all your grounds. make sure they are solid and grounded to bare metal. and check all wiring while you are at it. ;) |

| Take an ohm meter and read the resistance from the ground side of the rca connectors on the back of the radio to the body of the radio. If it isn't a direct connection to chassis ground of the radio, that is your problem. |
