Dutch Aleph-X parts groupbuy - Click HERE for Original Thread
Tarasque
Hi guy's

I would be interested to buy 4 pc of the DEF27/240 (40cmx24cm)

I'm working about 3km from Deltour and could pickup the heatsinks if there is enough interest.
illusionxx
Do you have informations about the price?
Tarasque
DEF 27 / 150 / zw ==>88euro per heatsink
DEF 27/ 240/ zw ==>139 euro per heatsink

These prices are for 1 - 4 sinks at a time.
threefff
Hey Tarasque,

If you could switch to the DEF26/150, I would be in for another 4 sinks. I cannot switch to DEF27 without altering my other metalwork, which is done so far.

cheers
Thomas

Kari, just received the boards! They look very good! Thanks!

It´s easy to confuse the Aleph-X threads! ;)
Tarasque
I would have a similar problem switching to the DEF26. The DEF 27 is a 40Cm wide sink. I need to dissipate 350W per sink and therefor need a DEF27/240. I also have metalwork ready for a 40Cm wide sink.

I'm still willing to pickup and distribute what ever order we can combine to reduce order and shipping cost.

Hi all,

well    my boards from Kari have arive too :D :D so now I'm wondering how this thread is going. Is there a WIKI? I would be especially ionterested in matched power and smal signal MOSFETs and power resistors.

Dont ask me, i fell asleep behind the pc waiting and electrocuted myself.

Guy's

I will be visiting Reichelt next week. Please let me know if I have to get some stuff for the DIYers in Holland. OIt will save around 20 euro's order costs and shiopment. Also there will be no minimum order.

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Hi Tarasque,

That would be great!

I would be interested in 12 IRFP044, 12 IRF9610 and some 4 0.22Ohm 5Watt(?) power resistors. contact me via personal mail for payment details, ok?

greetz,
Thijs
Tarasque
Just go to www.reichelt.de and order the stuff you want. Then copy the shopping basket and send it in a mail to me.
Then I will mail my bank details and combine the orders.

I'm afraid that they are out of 9610's. what they had left is now laying in my drawer.

Hello everybody!

I had some other things to do but I'm back. :)

I ordered some nice heatsinks (KL-273/150/sw) from clofis.nl a few months ago. They are really massive and can dissipiate 500 Watt easily. I don't know the exact specs yet, but they are big enough for sure. :D
TheJudge
They are 440x150x83 mm. As you can see it are three pieces welded together.

Here is another pic:
rwagter
Are you sure they can dissapate 500W easily ? cause I have the same heatsink (kl271-150) except the lenght is 300mm and my Aleph5 has to dissapate 150W and those heatsink get mighty hot :hot:
Ralph
Tarasque
According to the specs, the KL271/150 has a 0.12c/W figure. @ 150W the delta temp should not exceed 18 degrees C or 40C in an average living room.

Would you have the ability to measure the temperature? Can you easaly tuch the heatsinks?
(Typically you can just tuch the heatsinks below 50C):hot:

For the KL273/150 that would mean that you only can disipate around 230W.
TheJudge
Sorry, I forgot to tell you that I have four of them. Two for each mono block, and I used two for my calculations. :)
threefff
Hi Judge,

what did they charge you for these big ones?

Thanks,

Thomas

I thought this was the graph posted for the KL273 ?

For 150 mm height the graph translates to :

delta t = 18 >>> ~ 400 watts
delta t = 28 >>> ~ 620 watts

supposing 22C ambient, heatsink temp at 40C or 50 C as posted.
imo, heatsink temp of 40C is a waste of big humps of alloy.
rwagter
Ahhh 4,

so you're going to use 2 for each monoblock, that would make more sense
TheJudge
@threefff, 93 Euro a piece.

I called Amplimo. They promised me to call me back a few months ago about the 1000VA tranny's, but they didn't. :(
They still hadn't made the calculation what the additional costs of the metal enclosure was, but after some calculations on my side, 1000VA was too small anyway. So I asked them about the metal enclosures for the 625VA tranny's, but they are too big to fit my amps case (2x 625VA instead of 1x 1000VA). The metal case makes the diameter of the tranny about 2cm bigger, and the reason it's difficult to calculate the total cost of the metal case, is because the exoxy stuff they use is so expensive.
So I thing I'm going for 4x 625VA for two mono blocks. Without the good looking metal enclosure. :)
threefff
Hi Judge,

hmmm, ....do you mean 93 Euros for the trannys or for the heatsinks?

Thanks
Thomas
TheJudge
For the heatsinks Thomas. I know it's not cheap but they are exactely what I needed.
x84andrea
hi, I need of 2 pcb for alpeh x? please help me... :-)
For the heatsink I started to make a liquid cooling with a bar of alluminium milled, and a pum and a car's radiator, but when i have the money i buy 2 radiator for pc, but very big 360mmX360mmX40mm!!!
it's not difficult!!!
