The pushpull output stage in my DAC uses MPS8099/MPS8599. I recently had the misfortuce of shorting the output, killing the transistors. I believe that these trannies are hard to find. What are the specs I should consider to allow me to choose equiavlents?

You could substitute them with BC639, 2SC3939, 2SD667(A), 2SD1226...
