Problem with tube overheating. PLEASE HELP - Click HERE for Original Thread
NotInTheMafia
Ok, here is my problem. I have built the plasmatweeters at http://plasmatweeter.de The el509 gets red quick. (@about 110ma current draw) I tried paralelling 2 of these tubes figuring that the curent would be split equaly between them, and it was, just not how i wanted, now the current draw is just about 240ma. Would there be a better tube to use in the RF oscillator section with the audio driver circuit presented. (I have already built the 2 pcb's so changing a resistor value isnt a big deal, but i need to keep this circuit basicaly the same.)

Thanks for your suggestions.
