Erm i could use some help... i have been mailing jan, but i know he has probs with his email account sometimes...

I made 4 of the pcb, and it doesn't work, i've had loads of wierd results, and i don't know what to do.

Jan said there were problems with version 2.1 pcb, and i think that may have been the one i've made. but all the ones i find, all be it 'updated' they all say v2.1 on them... can anyone help? does anyone have they're own design with onboard op's?

(the version i'm on about is like 2.1 with the current protect circuit in the middle.)

Thanks for all your help.

Matt

Have you measured any DC-voltages?

What is the "weirdness"?

Have you turned the Q105 right? Jan mentions that this transistor must be turned with the plastic side (front side) toward the L-profile.

Lynx can be found here (frame page!):

hi,
I have also made the pcbs for the lynx v2.1 . Two corrections have to be made i.e turn the Q105 upside down to correct the pinouts or corrent the pcb tracks or solder two small thin wires to the base and emmiter and cross them and solder to their correct places in the pcb and also correct the tracks for the multiturn preset to set the quisent current. I have made saparate pcb for the output trannies which i attached to a bigger pcb .
good luck
Aman

I builded this amp in the end of last year with great help from Jan and almost up and run in the first test. Thank you Jan!
Here is the layout of the PCB I made. You dont need to turned the thermal trans (Q105) upside down, just put it in the way it should. Hope this can help!

Here is what I do with the parts on the board.

Hello again cyril_hk,
How are things going with the amp ;)

Hello Jan,

Things going fluency with the amp. I listen to my favour music almost everyday with the amp, nothing wierd happens till now. Powerful bass indeed, quite happy with it.

BTW, how is your Ultima Speaker System going too? The NFRA 03 amp! Seem like its your new amp but not in the projects list.
So excited to see the final works.

Hi cyril,
I'm glad that your LYNX still behaves..... And that you like it :)

The NFRA 03 (Near Field Reference Amplifier) is indeed a quite new amp, which I have participated in the development of....
However as this project is commercial, I'm not allowed to publish any schematics  . One of the final tests before my approval for releasing this amp, are to incoorporate 8 of these amps into my new active speakers :D
