| I have a Sony EX7ESD CD player and the laser mechanism needs replacing. Sony New Zealand say they no longer hold parts for this model. Any ideas as to what laser mechanism I might use and where I can find it? |

If the laser is emitting light, could be that the suspension that holds the lens is damaged.
Use video camera to see the glow.
I don't know how it looks, but if it's like KSS210, u can fix the suspension of the lens by replacing from other avilable cheap assy.
There is a thread earlier started by me. Read that if laser diode is good.
