Thorens 280 won't turn - Click HERE for Original Thread
Thomas
Hello all, I hope any of you can give me a hint of what's wrong with my dad's Thorens 280 mkVI.

Some times the motor won't turn. The motor seem to get 'stuck'. ie the magnet force is holding the motor in one position rather than spinning.

I hope someone can help. Maby this is a trivial Thorens failure, like the Philips dry solder joints. :) I don't have a clue.

I tried to fiddle with the three connectors on the board for any loose connections. I found that disconnecting the plug to the motor and re-inserting it while start is pressed usualy get the motor going. The failure is totaly intermitent.
