I'm in the middle of building a pair of full range TL loudspeaker with Tangband W3-871S.

Does anyone have HobbyHiFi 6/2004 ?
I would like to have Lancetta - CC46 from HobbyHiFi 6/2004.

A W3-871S in a TL looks like an interesting project. The enclosure is about 50 inches long. 50 inches seems to big for this driver, so I guess that the TL length is less than 50 inches. I used babelfish to translate the German and they say that response is only -8 dB at 50Hz. I did not think a single driver could get down that low.

The slim design looks sharp.

I donīt have the article but it is an unfolded TL that has 2 helmholtz chambers for flattening out the frequency response.
Exterior measures and parts as shown in the link.

Wow, those look good. I've got a couple W3-871Ss lying around, maybe I should slap a pair together as well... There you go giving me ideas :).

JORGETronic
can someone explain to me how the resonators work here, in this configuration?
Dr. ODD
They are a Helmholtz Bass Trap like it is used in Room Acustics.
JORGETronic
ok, teh rationale is , given the length of the box, some standing LF wavwes can be expected and in order to avoid that a bass trap was included, i am right?
Malmsten
Yes actually to bass trapps
