is this possible, how to attach the magnet, polarity wise?.
I've seen some Japanese audiophile doing this but the site was in Japanese and I can't recall from which site.

Oh yes

Add a big magnet and the bass will be more "tangible"

I try this tweak year ago and I still use it. (I use 2 additional magnet, one old alnoco and one from a automotive 6x9...)

what shape of magnet would be ideal?, I think horseshoe type is not feasibale. Round hollow type or solid circular type?. How to attach to speaker side, I mean the polarity of the magnet, which side of the magnet to the speaker?.
I intend to use cast alnico or alcomax magnet.

Thanks for reply.

is there only one polarity, on the other side, magnet would oppose their force...

Hope this help.
