Correct diode replacement for RCD-971? - Click HERE for Original Thread
dom letor
Hey guys,
Do any of you guys know what Schottky or Hyper-Fast soft recovery rectifying diodes would be a good upgrade for the power supply section of my Rotel RCD-971? What size (volt/amp) is appropriate? Has anyone else attempted this mod? I would like to do this modification myself. Gonna install Bybees later as well. Thanks.

Hi Dan,
I just bought a 971 myself, pretty good player.
There are so many high speed soft recovery diodes out there now the choices are almost endless. 1 amp/ 100v would be plenty good, anything larger would be overkill.
Regards, Bill
